Nicki & Travis, wedding in Whistler style
Many of Nicki & Travis's wedding guests traveled to Whistler from Ontario, and just as Nicki had hoped, were treated to an amazing week of sunshine and blue skies for their time in Vancouver & Whistler. This was my first time photographing a wedding in Whistler, and what an amazing day it was.
The bride and groom dressed at the Pan Pacific Mountainside surrounded by the amazing Whistler views. After the ceremony we held our shoot in a slightly off-the-beaten-path location (I do mean slightly, it was just off the main walkway between Upper & Lower villages) but it required some adventurous off-path walking (or maybe climbing?) Nicki and her sisters in their heels were such good sports about the trickiness of it all, with a little help from the guys!

Makeup was done by friend Vancouver makeup artist Anita Ho

Off to find the guys... the ringbearer gave us a step-by-step outline of how the ring portion of the ceremony was to unfold... and don't you just love the groomsmen's ties from Holt Renfrew?

"Goooooooo Apostles!!!"

Ceremony was held at the Edgewater Lodge, such a perfect Whistler setting with it's spectacular water and mountain views

3 gorgeous sisters...

One of my favourite photos so far from wedding season 2010...

Back to the RimRock Cafe for one of the most memorable wedding meals I've been lucky enough to enjoy. The menu consisted of lobster bisque, carpaccio, filet mignon, lobster and scallops, among many other delicious items, I'm just remembering what I ate...

Nicki and Travis danced to 'You and Me' by Dave Matthews and Travis danced with his beautiful Grandmother Nell before I left for the evening. Thanks for a memorable weekend of Whistler fun, N & T!

Kobi & Grant, "No dress rehearsal, this is our life"
I have to start off by saying that Kobi had the cutest bunch of bridesmaids I've ever seen! Perfectly complimenting Kobi's vintage chic look, they were gorgeous in their retro-ish, flared keyhole dresses complete with headbands... so, co cute!
Tragically Hip songs played in my head all day (see the place card board below!), lots of laughs, a few tears, and it was so great to see Grant's sister Janice and brother-in-law Ray whose wedding I photographed last year!
Enjoy your sneak peek, Kobi!! :)

Probably one of my favourite wedding party shots this year... what's going on here??

Notice the cool cufflinks... and Grant, such a handsome groom!

As you may have noticed from the first ring shot, Kobi & Grant are huge Tragically Hip fans, and they named all the tables after their favourite songs. I really loved the seating card display... "Looking For A Place to Happen?" So cool.
And some yummy cupcakes from Estelle at Mozart Bakery.

Patrick and Kari's engagement session
Awww... these 2 have been together for 10 years... high school sweethearts! When I asked them if they're usually a public-affection sort of couple Kari said "not anymore!" but they did a perfect job of rekindling the PDA's for our shoot in Fort Langley. They even climbed a tree! Patrick proposed with his Grandmother's engagement ring (it's a beauty) and the wedding is in August. Oh, and they're both SCUBA divers, so they've got a special place in my heart :)
