An after-the-wedding shoot doesn't have to 'trash your dress'. It's more about the opportunity to create photographs in an environment that you wouldn't be able to include on the wedding day. It's an excuse to wear that dress again (c'mon, who doesn't want to wear their dress again??) and just have FUN. We spent an afternoon doing just that, a gorgeous, warm afternoon in October at friend Sandy's property in south Langley, hanging out with the ponies. Flash, the one with the beautiful markings, had never been ridden by Casey before. It took a few tries, but eventually, and without harming the dress, Casey was bareback riding! Flash was confused by Casey's bare feet... and insisted on licking them... which was funny because it produced the now-famous-crinkly-nose we all love.
This is Sandy... owner of the property. She was keeping the horse's attention by opening and closing my paper umbrella... which was spooky if too close, but quite fascinating at a distance!
p.s. Casey & Tony happen to be rockstar realtors... does Tony Z ring a bell? Now it will, next time you see a sign. I can't say enough about how much I love these two, so if you're in the market give them a ring. Next week I'll be meeting the rest of the Tony Z team for their team shoot... watch for it!Labels: langley photographer, Vancouver photographer |
