Thursday, May 28, 2009 Ashley & Geoff in Fort Langley Couples who are clearly nuts about one another make my job unbelievably easy... I just follow them around while they hang out with each other and behave like their lovey-dovey selves. That was how this evening went, and if Ashley & Geoff aren't always like this, they did a fantastic job pretending! Everyone we show them to is so impressed and every single person has said "wow, that is neat, (regarding all the interesting angles, patterns you captured) She's talented." Anna kept calling me to see if we should cancel but only a handful of drops fell in Gastown. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy shooting there... Last but not least - the colourful characters of the area were out in full force... but this guy surprised us with a beautiful voice singing Led Zeppelin's 'Thank You'... a beautiful song and one of my favourites. I found myself singing along while I worked... and he departed with a simple "Congratulations". I'm booked with engagement shoots for the month of May in between the early season weddings. So there will be lots and lots of photos coming soon! In the meantime, what have I been up to? Enjoying my last few weekends without 2 big cameras hanging around my neck! I'm always tempted to haul my gear along when I go anywhere but sometimes it's nice to travel light. So here's a few pics from a weekend trip to Seattle, taken with my point & shoot, and a Blackberry camera. The view from our hotel window. Usually, we get a view of the back of a building, or a dumpster. So this was a rather pleasant surprise! Seattle. And Starbucks. Need I say more? We did the underground tour, it was cool. This is one of the original skylights. Taken with a cell phone camera, not bad eh? I have a season full of amazing couples and fun weddings beginning SOON... I can't wait to get rolling!
