Kale chips - a personal post, an excuse for some photos |
I got a new camera AND a new lens this week... and it's been so cold, wet and miserable outside I haven't felt very motivated to get outside and play with it. But such amazing new equipment can't sit around and tease me forever, so I slipped my new baby around my neck and took (him? her?) into the kitchen to show you a recipe for a healthy snack and some photos to go with it.
See, at the end of wedding season 2010, I realized that all that yummy wedding cake and reception meals had caught up with me. I joined The Bootcamp Effect at the beginning of December and began changing my habits. I'm sticking to my gym workouts these days, and I'm addicted to intense exercise thanks to my time at Bootcamp. I'm 40 pounds lighter than I used to be, 20 overall inches smaller, carrying 14% less body fat than when I started. I'm the fittest I've been in my life (in my thirties!), and committed to this way of life, and way of eating. Best of all, I've noticed that I no longer feel like I've been run over by a dump truck the day after shooting a wedding. If that's not an awesome bonus, I don't know what is!! So... here I am with a tasty snack (and pretty pictures!) that replaces my cravings for potato chips. Really! Enjoy!
