| Vancouver wedding photographer, Amber & Derek at Fairmont Pacific Rim & Monk McQueen's |
| I'm a little late posting this wedding from way back in June, but here it is!
Amber & Derek began their day at the luxe Fairmont Pacific Rim with a dramatic yet intimate first look on a gorgeous spiral staircase. The rain was quite torrential this day but as usual, a smile never left Amber's face. We managed to get outside for a few photos between raindrops and shot quite a bit inside, I was really grateful for the indoor spaces available at the Pacific Rim this day! Gorgeous photos inside and out :)
Then off to Monk McQueen's and I'm sure I'm not alone in mourning the loss of this great Vancouver wedding venue! Sadly, Amber & Derek's wedding was to be my last at Monk's. The rain held steady and the ceremony was moved indoors, and officiated by Derek's dad, adding a wonderful personal and touching element to their vows. Many people had traveled to share in this day with this day with them, from as far as Halifax! (Amber's hometown)
It was a day filled with joy and genuine happiness, a perfect celebration for a wonderful couple. Just before we left, the sun made a brief appearance, allowing us to grab a few last-minute photos outside by the water, as seen at the end of this post. Make sure to check out the list of awesome vendors who made this wedding a gorgeous success too!
After the wedding, when Amber and I met up on photo delivery day, she presented me with a bouquet. She had chosen the flowers to be included, some of her favourites and some that she felt represented me, a combination of us both is one beautiful presentation. It was a heartfelt gift I will always remember, thank-you Amber.
